Angie Castaneda

Attorney at Law

Angie is a dual-licensed attorney authorized to practice law in Colombia and Washington State. She earned her Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from Universidad La Gran Colombia and her Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Technology and Innovation from Seattle University.

Having navigated the complexities of immigration herself, Angie understands the challenges and uncertainty that come with building a life far from home. This experience showed her the strength and courage required to immigrate, inspiring her commitment to supporting others on their legal journeys.

Before joining Jaime Barron PC, she volunteered at community legal clinics offered by nonprofits, including the Latina/o Bar Association of Washington (LBAW) and the Riverton Park organization. She is also passionate about digital literacy and has volunteered with Opt-Inspire, Inc., where she speaks to older adults about staying safe in the digital world. She also participated in a Legal Ethical Technology practicum at Seattle University, collaborating with computer science students to develop a Large Language Model (LLM) designed to support international students with OPT and CPT processes.

Angie is equally committed to inclusion. She serves as a council member on the Washington State Bar Association’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee, where she advocates for a more inclusive practice of law, especially for attorneys trained abroad.

In her free time, Angie enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, reading, and traveling.
