Attorney Tellez is licensed by the Supreme Court of the State of Texas and is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and the Dallas Bar Association. Attorney Tellez is originally from Waco and studied in San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, Mexico for four years where he learned to master Spanish. He personally understands the immigration process and its laws.
Attorney Tellez received his bachelor's degree in Criminology from the University of Texas at Arlington. He received his Juris Doctor from the Valparaiso University School of Law. Before starting with Jaime Barron PC., Mr. Tellez was a law clerk for Catholic Charities of Dallas and the National Immigration Justice Center in Chicago, where he assisted in legal matters and interpretation of immigration laws, and where he gained experience in the area of family immigration law. In his career, he has advised people wanting to obtain immigration benefits for themselves and their families.
Attorney Tellez helped clients to obtain their permanent residences through the consular process and through adjustment of status. Before, graduating from law school he represented Asylum cases where he obtained good results for his clients. Likewise, Mr. Tellez has obtained experience in I-601 Waivers cases as well as process removal cases. Mr. Tellez is a very involved person in the immigrant community, appearing in radio interviews, newspapers, and even phone tanks to answer questions from the community. Attorney Tellez, like the rest of our team, is constantly studying and assimilating into the new Federal rules and processes.
