Alberto Mejia

Alberto Mejia is an attorney licensed by the New York State Bar and a member of the Honduras Bar. He earned his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Honduras. He later obtained a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Comparative Law from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University.

Before joining Jaime Barron, P.C., Mr. Mejia worked for and volunteered with various nonprofit organizations, including the No More A Stranger Foundation (NOMAS), the National Youth Advocate Program-La Jornada, and the Central American Resource Center (CARECEN), where he supported immigrant and underserved communities. In Honduras, he also worked for the Consejo Nacional Anticorrupción (CNA), gaining experience in the areas of government compliance and anti-corruption.

As an immigrant himself, he developed a strong passion for immigration law through his personal experiences navigating the U.S. legal system. This perspective has inspired his dedication to helping others facing similar challenges.

Mr. Mejia is fluent in English and Spanish. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, watching soccer games, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends.
