Awilda Moné Garcia

Awilda I. Moné is an attorney licensed by the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and the District of Columbia. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a Finance major from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico. She received her Juris Doctor Degree from the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico and a Master of Laws in Intellectual Property and Technology from the American University Washington College of Law.


While studying law, she had the opportunity to study abroad at José Ortega & Gasset Institute in Toledo, Spain. She also served as a student attorney in “Legal Services of Puerto Rico” which aims to provide services to less privileged sectors in family law matters and juvenile criminal cases.

Before joining the law offices of Jaime Barron, P.C., Ms. Moné worked as an Examining Attorney for the Puerto Rico Trademark Office and taught courses as an Adjunct Professor of Criminal Justice and Criminology at Universidad Ana G. Méndez. At the same time, she maintained her private practice focusing on cases related to family law, personal injury, commercial and private contracts, and misdemeanor cases.

In her free time, she enjoys traveling, hiking, and spending time with her family.  She is a native Spanish speaker and speaks English fluently.
