Iris Jasmine Torres

Ms. Torres received her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas. She received her Juris Doctor from St. Mary’s University School of Law, in San Antonio, Texas. During her law school career, Ms. Torres volunteered doing immigration work with RAICES and American Gateways. She also participated and work her way up to President of the Immigration Law Students Association and Hispanic Law Students Association of St. Mary’s. Additionally, she interned for the Executive Office for Immigration Review (“EOIR”) Immigration Court in San Antonio, Texas. She later served as a student attorney at St. Mary’s Immigration and Human Rights Clinic during her final year of law school.

Ms. Torres knows first-hand the struggles and emotional toll the immigration process can take on families, as she is a first-generation Mexican-American. Ms. Torres is fluent in English and Spanish. During her free time, she enjoys playing soccer, exercising, spending time with loved ones, and cheering for the Dallas Mavericks.
