Mr. Lang is an attorney licensed by the State Bar of Texas and is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a bachelor’s degree in Government and received his Juris Doctor from the University of Houston Law Center.
Mr. Lang has been practicing immigration law since 1994. Before joining Jaime Barron, P.C., where he serves as a Staff Attorney in the Falls Church, Virginia office, he served for many years as the Program Director of the Office of Legal Access Programs at the U.S. Department of Justice Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR). Where he led efforts to establish a variety of pro bono and government-funded programs to improve access to legal services for low-income and indigent immigrants. These included legal orientation and immigration court helpdesk programs for adults and children, as well as legal representation programs for children and certain adults with mental competency challenges. Prior to his work at the U.S. Department of Justice, Mr. Lang served as the Attorney Coordinator of the South Texas Pro Bono Asylum Representation Project (ProBAR) in Harlingen, Texas, where he recruited, trained, and supervised volunteers assisting indigent individuals in immigration custody. He is fluent in both English and Spanish.
In his free time, Mr. Lang enjoys spending time with his family, cooking, and outdoor activities. He is very happy to return to representing immigrants and defending their rights before the government.
